War Memorials

We are the custodians for over 180 war memorials. Our Officers work closely with local communities on their memorials.

Relevant legislation enables local Councils to carry out work to war memorials within their area, whether they officially own them or not. It must be noted that although legislation gives such powers to local authorities, it does not give them an obligation to do so.
