Makeup of the council

We are a democratic organisation with 74 elected councillors who are responsible for agreeing policies about provision of services and how money is spent.

The Highland Council is led by a joint administration of the Scottish National Party (SNP) Group and the Highland Independent Group. 

The Leader of the Council is Raymond Bremner.
