Nairn Academy celebrates pupils’ successes
Teachers at Nairn Academy are delighted with pupil successes in the SQA exam results and congratulate them all.
Pupils have achieved highly at National, Higher and Advanced Higher level.
Forty S5 pupils achieved 5 Highers this year, almost a quarter of the S5 cohort and one of the highest percentages across Highland schools and the highest percentage for 5 Highers in the last 6 years. Four pupils achieved A’s in their 5 Highers.
There were English 39 A passes at Higher, 24 A’s in Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies (RMPS) and 21 A passes in History at Higher.
Wei Wen Tan achieved 3 Advanced Highers at A. This is over and above her 5 A’s at Higher last year.
Deborah Halliday was one of several pupils who has continued to excel in her studies. She achieved 5 A’s at Higher last year and added to this in S6 this year with 2 Advanced Highers at A and another Higher at A. Deborah is now moving on to University to further her studies.
Elizabeth Gordon, Hannah Suiter, Katie Scott, Alastair Ramsay and Eve Hamilton all achieved 6 National 5 awards at Grade A. They are all continuing their studies into S5.
Four S5 pupils achieved 5 Highers at Grade A – Gabriel Cameron, Izzy Macdonald, Sandy Scott and Ruaridh Summers.
