Privacy notices - Training courses

The Highland Council needs to administer training applications to allow you to apply for training events. Personal data to identify you are required to administer this service. Special categories of personal data are also requested from you if you have additional needs. This is to allow adjustments to be made to allow you to access the training, (for example a hearing loop or signer). These adjustments are required under the Equalities Act 2010. Your data will also be used to carry out statistical analysis of applications for training.
These are the only purposes for which this data is collected.

 

If you do not provide this information the Highland Council cannot process your application for training.

Contract - we need to process this personal information to fulfil our contract with an employee (Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR).
Special categories of data relating to employment are processed under Article 9(2)(b) of GDPR.

Where the training is provided by a third party, this data is shared with them to allow administration of the training course. Where required your data will be shared with certification organisations and regulatory bodies. Your data is not shared with anyone else.
 

Your data is deleted once the training event is complete.

Your personal data is not subject to automated decision making or profiling.
