Privacy notices - British Sign Language feedback
-
Description
This privacy notice relates to the collection of feedback in relation to public services from the British Sign Language community.Public bodies have a legislative duty to produce ‘authority plans’ in relation to British Sign Language (BSL) by October 2018. Plans will identify how these organisations support and improve their services to meet the needs of these users. The feedback provided through a drop-in session and via an online survey will allow organisations to inform the writing process of their plans. The Highland Council, the University of the Highlands and Islands and NHS Highland have joined together to receive collective feedback from the deaf community. The deaf community will be invited to participate in providing feedback, should they wish. All feedback is voluntary and can be given anonymously. The feedback will help to inform our legislative duty to create appropriate ‘authority plans’ which meets the needs of these users. -
