Description
You may be eligible for a free or concessionary TV licence if:
You are 75 or over
You can apply for a free TV licence for your main home
If you are 74
You can apply for a short term licence which will be valid until the month before your 75 birthday
You are registered as blind or severely sight impaired
You are eligible to apply for a 50 per cent concession on the full licence fee
You live in residential care
If you live in residential care, you may be entitled to an ARC (Accommodation for Residential Care) concessionary licence. Not all residential homes have an ARC licence and you must be retired and over 60 or disabled to qualify for an ARC licence. Applications for the licence should be made by your housing manager on your behalf. Eligible residents on the scheme pay £7.50 a year.
