Staffin school serves Staffin and the surrounding villages. The area is mainly croftland.There are presently 3 classes in the school and a Nursery which was purpose built. (1.5 classes are in Gaidhlig medium.) The Nursery is also Gaidhlig Medium and has one member of staff with 5 morning sessions for children aged 3-5 years. The school has its own gym hall/dining hall with kitchen. It also has access to a playing field.There is an outdoor play area with climbing frame which children may access outside school hours.A respite unit to support families with additional support needs is based in the restructured school house and offers a range of facilities.
