Purpose
Local Access Forum -
Description
The Highland Council collects this information for the purposes of forming, creating and managing a Local Access Forum which is a statutory requirement under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (LR(S)A), Section 25. The data is used to communicate with forum members about the running of the forum meetings (arranging meetings, minutes and agendas) and to seek feedback direct to the Council officers comments relating to the work within the remit of the LR(S)A.

Conditions for processing personal information
Public Task – We require to process personal data to perform a specific task in the public interest that is set out in law the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003.
Legal Obligation - Article 6(1)(c) provides a lawful basis for processing where processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject. -

Who we share your information with
Other than for the workings of the forum and any associated Council committees, meeting agendas/minutes etc., your personal details will not be shared with any other parties.
In the first instance please contact access@highland.gov.uk or The Highland Council, Development and Infrastructure Service, Glenurquhart Road, INVERNESS, IV3 5NX, for enquiries about the collection of your data regards the Local Access Forum.

How long we hold your information
For persons whose applications to the forum are not successful the data provided shall be retained for the working period of the forum being applied for, 4 years. The Council may use these details when spaces on the forum become available with a view to filling the vacancy.
For those persons who are selected to sit on the forum the data shall be retained for the working life of the forum, 4 years plus any further period where forum business (core path planning or Section 14 notices under the LR(S)A)) that the forum has been involved in is still on-going
