Privacy notices - Short Term Let Licensing Scheme

The Scottish Parliament approved legislation to introduce a new licensing scheme for short term let properties.  It is due to come into effect on 1 October 2022. 

The Highland Council is asking residents, visitors and interested groups and organisations what they think of the Council’s short term let draft policy statement and proposed additional conditions for a licence. 

Your comments will be taken into consideration when reviewing the conditions for a licence.  The information we will collect is -

 We will use your data to respond to your correspondence where necessary.  Your comments may be published on our website along with your name.

We will not be able to consider your comments about the Council’s short term let draft policy statement and proposed additional conditions for a licence.

The Council may disclose your response to third parties on request. In disclosing responses, the Council will take appropriate steps to redact personal data in line with our obligations under Article 5(1)(f) of GDPR.

Data is held by the council for 2 years.
