Description
The Scottish and UK Governments have set up a variety of programmes to enable local authorities to deliver employability services in their area. As part of these programmes, the Highland Council may operate grant schemes, inviting organisations to apply for funding to deliver employability projects for the benefit of people living in the Highland Council area.
We will use the information you provide us primarily to make an assessment on the eligibility for grant funding under one of the Scottish or UK Government programmes.
Personal information and bank details are required to process applications and make payments. Grants are normally issued by BACS transfer.
Your contact details (including your telephone and e-mail if supplied) are used to correspond with you if further information about your application is required.
We may also use project summaries provided in the application to publicise successful projects.

If you don't give us your information
If you don’t provide contact information and bank details, we will not be able to process and where applicable pay, any grant awarded.

Who we share your information with
Applications will be handled by Highland Council and may be shared with representatives from partner organisations such as; Highland Employability Partnership i.e. Department of Work and Pensions, Developing the Young Workforce, Federation of Small Businesses, Highland Third Sector Interface, NHS Highland, Skills Development Scotland and the University of the Highlands and Islands.
Applications may also be shared with representatives of the North Highland, West Highland and Inner Moray Firth Local Employability Partnerships, comprising of local staff from Department of Work and Pensions, Developing the Young Workforce, Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Skills Development Scotland, UHI Inverness, UHI West Highland and North Highland UHI. Additional local third sector representatives may also be asked to take part in assessments where relevant.
Funders, administrators and auditors of public funds including, The Scottish Government , UK Government and Audit Scotland may also request access to your information.

How long we hold your information
Your information will be held for six years plus current year.
