Description
The Highland Council is currently working to make period products freely available to everyone who needs them. This is funded by Scottish Government, and in line with the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021 aiming at tackling period poverty, promoting period dignity and breaking the stigma surrounding periods in Scotland.
The Highland Council is working with Hey Girls, a social enterprise offering a free period products home delivery service.
The personal information provided by you to register for the Hey Girls Period Packs will be used by The Highland Council in order to provide you with the above service, and to allow monitoring of the performance of services offered. The Highland Council will use your postcode and age band for mapping purposes to improve service delivery.
The Highland Council will collect your name, age band, and contact details (address, phone number and email address) to check and process orders. Data will be shared with Hey Girls in order to send your products to your address. Hey Girls also have a Privacy Statement.

You will be unable to register to use the Hey Girls home delivery service to have free period products delivered to you.

Conditions for processing personal information
Processing your personal information to provide free period products is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest by the Council under the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021. (Article 6(1)(e) of UK GDPR).

How long we hold your information
The Highland Council will retain your information while the Service is in use. Hey Girls will delete personal details once your order for free period products has been processed.
