Privacy notices - Energy Efficient Scotland: Area Based Scheme (EES:ABS)

The Energy Efficient Scotland: Area Based Scheme (EES:ABS) provides significant Scottish Government grant funding to Highland residents, offering energy efficiency measures which may lower fuel costs and improve living conditions for the household.

When you apply either by Home Energy Scotland referral or filling out the pre-qualification form on The Highland Council website, your data is forwarded to the appointed contractor so that your application can be assessed for eligibility.

The following information is passed to the contractor to establish eligibility:

• Your name, address, and in some cases your date of birth (so we can check you are eligible for the scheme;
• Your phone number and/or email address (so you can be contacted as necessary for the Purpose outlined in this notice);
• Details of your property (this will be limited to information showing you are eligible for the scheme).

If you don’t give us your information, you will be unable to partake in the Energy Efficient Scotland: Area Based Scheme.

Public task - Article 6 (1)(e) the processing of data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.

We will hold your information for the current year plus 6 years.
