Description
We prepare forward planning documents for land use in the Highlands and supplementary guidance in relation to planning applications. We seek to engage the public in these documents and in some cases we are required to do so by law.
We also check, validate, and register Local Place Plans as prepared by any community council or community controlled body within The Highland Council development planning area.
Please note that all comments will be treated anonymously.
If you are responding on behalf of an organisation / company then we ask for the organisation / company name and your role and contact information.
If you choose to give us your contact details, they will be held on a database within our consultation portal and/or SharePoint system, as appropriate. Where you give consent, these may be used to update you on planning matters and place planning in the future.

If you don't give us your information
If you choose not to give us your information, you will not be updated on forward planning of land use in Highland and we will not be able to contact you again about any comments you have made.

Who we share your information with
Anonymised comments may be shared with statutory services, Cairngorm National Park Authority, community councils or community-controlled bodies (as defined by the Community Empowerment Act) to inform service development and development of Local Place Plans.

Unless you tell us otherwise, we will continue to hold your information for as long as necessary to perform our forward planning functions.
