Over £28M invested in Highland roads – The Council has invested £20 million capital and additional £1.3 million revenue on road maintenance in 20/21 on top of the £7.2M revenue budget.

As lockdown restrictions have eased, Highland Council teams across the region have switched from their winter roads duties to road surfacing, patching, lining, edging and verging of prioritised projects.
The Council is highlighting some of its roads maintenance works that have recently been completed and these are being featured on this webpage and social media with the hashtag #HighlandRoadsRecovery.
