Important notice

We are changing the way you recycle at home. We will be delivering a new grey bin to households and changing your existing blue bin to paper, card and cardboard. Find out more.

If you have been delivered your new GREY bin. 

  • Please use your BLUE bin for paper, card and cardboard only, starting on the collection day on your new calendar.

If you have not received your new GREY bin.

  • Please continue to use your BLUE bin for all mixed recycling (paper, card, tubs, tins)

Paper, card and cardboard recycling

What we accept:

  • paper, shredded paper, newspapers, magazines and envelopes
  • phone books and catalogues
  • greetings cards - remove any ribbons or decorations
  • cereal boxes and other card products
  • all corrugated cardboard

Please flatten items where possible and always place them in loosely as we cannot accept any type of plastic bag in the blue bin.

What we cannot accept:

  • tissues, napkins or kitchen towel
  • padded envelopes or wallpaper
  • dirty takeaway boxes with food or oil such as pizza boxes
  • hardback books or disposable cups
