Screening Report and Determination

We have carried out a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) as part of the preparation of our LHEES and Delivery Plan in accordance with the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.

Through the SEA process, we submitted a Screening Report on 11 July 2023 to the Consultation Authorities:

• Historic Environment Scotland
• NatureScot
• The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA)

Alongside this, we are required to review the Strategy and Delivery Plan against the criteria contained in the Act which considers the significance of any environmental impacts.

We determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) will not be required for the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) and Delivery Plan.
