There are numerous pests and diseases that can affect your trees.

See Section 8 of our Tree Management Strategy for more information on some of the key tree diseases currently affecting Highland's trees.

As of 1 April 2019 the Forestry Commission no longer exists. These services are now provided by two new government agencies: Forestry and Land Scotland and Scottish Forestry. Scottish Forestry provides up to date information about how to identify poor tree health and what to do if found. Awareness of potential pests and diseases in your area is important to help to control the spread and safeguard the nation’s trees.
