This edition focusses on poverty and money worries and the direct impact both can have on people's mental health and wellbeing. You will find links to support services, training for people in a 'helping' role, self help ideas to maintain good mental health and a range of other helpful information and resources

Mind to Mind Campaign
The Mind to Mind Campaign, which highlights the new dedicated NHS Inform website to help people who may be facing challenges with their mental wellbeing, has now been published.
Real People, Real Stories
Men often don’t want to feel like a burden and don’t feel their problems will be understood: the Samaritan’s latest campaign is aimed at men between 20-59 and encourages them to seek help.
Free Support for Teaching Staff
The Education Support Partnership is a charity which provides confidential, free support for teaching staff 24/7, 365 days a year. They have a helpful and informative website which includes a downloadable poster for display in staffrooms.
Staff can access:
- confidential emotional support and counselling available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- up to six sessions face-to-face or telephone counselling
- access to online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- management consultation to support those responsible for managing other
- specialist information on work-life balance
- financial and legal information
(All their counsellors are BACP accredited)
Training for Mental Health
In conjunction with the Skills Network and colleagues in Learning and Development, we can now offer staff free certificated (SVQ Level 2 and Level 3) courses related to mental health:
