Visitor management planning
The increasing numbers of visitors to some areas of Highland has led to increased pressures on some sites and the need for additional services to be provided to welcome and cater for our visitors. The Visitor Management Plan approved by the Council’s Tourism Committee describes the additional activities that will be undertaken for 2022.

Location Action Plans were developed by the Seasonal Access Rangers from their experiences over the 2021 tourist season. The Action Plans detail the challenges faced at a number of visitor hotspots and identify potential actions/solutions with options and timescales, and the likely stakeholders involved.
