Archaeological contractors

Information on professionally qualified consultants and contractors can be obtained from the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists or from Yell.

Those commissioning archaeological work are encouraged to check and review that the organisation or individual approached:

• has the necessary experience and understanding to satisfy the standards for archaeological work
• can provide personnel with the appropriate skills and qualifications for the task
• can meet the required timetable
• has a suitable infrastructure for, and track record of, undertaking work of a similar scale

The Historic Environment Team are happy to advise on the suitability of particular contractors for specialist work and can comment on tenders as requested.
