Update 2022/23 Pay Award for SJC staff (non teachers)

At a meeting of COSLA leaders Friday 2 September, a revised pay offer has been put to GMB, Unite the Union and UNISON trade unions.

All three trade unions are now arranging to ballot their membership.

The outcome of these ballots are expected to be announced towards the end of September.  

As a result of the improved pay offer, GMB and Unite the Union are suspending strike action in waste, street cleaning and recycling which was due to recommence from Tuesday 6 September.

All Council Services will therefore be operating as normal.  

Further update will be provided once the result of the union ballots is known.
