What would you like to be when you grow up?

Plockton Primary School had a jobs fair where pupils met with a variety of individuals to ask questions about occupations in their community.

Occupations and organisations participating at the job fair included:

• a local doctor
• Dental therapists
• a Marine biologist
• the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music
• MOWI
• Louise Allan, a local artist
• Environment Health colleagues
• Police Scotland
• Scottish Fire Service

Pupils had a fantastic afternoon speaking to professionals about their career field and engaging with a range of tools and instruments at each booth to gain some hands-on experience themselves.  After spending time in the hall at the fair, each class then went outside in the sun to climb inside the police van and blast the sirens!
