Parking enforcement to restart at HQ

Staff and Members are advised that parking enforcement is to restart at HQ car park very soon.

Staff and Members are reminded that you must display a permit to avoid parking fines.

A change is also being made to the parking arrangements at Inverness HQ Car Park.

The main difference to the status quo is that members of the public will be allowed to park in the main rear car park (the area highlighted in green on the map below).

HQ Parking

  • The rear car park will now be open to the public on a pay and display basis at all times (24/7).
  • Staff and Members will also be able to continue to use the rear car park (green area) as long as they display their permit.

All pre-existing parking arrangements to the front, side, and HQ courtyard and surrounds of the chamber building parking areas will remain the same. Check the signs and lines for detailed information.

Staff and Members are reminded that you must display a permit to avoid parking fines.

Only staff based at HQ are entitled to a car park permit which can be obtained from HQ reception. Reception staff will check your office base so please don’t request a Permit if you are not based in the building.

Visitors (including staff not based in the building and non-Council staff) must sign in at reception with their car registration and are encouraged to park at the front of the building where possible.

The Traffic & Parking Services Team will amend the signage and the tariffs on the parking machines and enforcement will be recommencing within the next week or so.

Therefore can all staff and Members please ensure that you have either displayed a valid car park permit or have signed in at reception in order to avoid getting a Penalty Notice.

Members and Staff Permits are valid at all times in the HQ Council car park when you are Council Business.

For all queries about permits please contact HQ Reception.
