Learn Microsoft

In autumn 2021, the Digital Transformation Project Team sent out the ‘Digital Transformation Staff Survey’.

We asked about your confidence in using Microsoft 365 applications, how keen you are to learn new digital skills, and what is your preferred method of learning?

  • You told us you were most confident in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint, and less confident in using SharePoint, OneNote, Sway, Project, Power BI, and Stream.
  • 80% of you rated your level of keenness to learn new digital skills and use new digital devices as 7 out of 10, or higher.
  • Access to short, online video tutorials, is the most popular type of support for digital skills development, with 75% of you choosing this as your favourite way to learn.

We listened to your feedback and today we launch Learn Microsoft.

Learn Microsoft is the Council’s new self-service learning portal for Microsoft 365.

You can access Learn Microsoft through the quick links on the Council’s new staff intranet, through Traineasy, the School’s Hub, through the Members Intranet and the ICT Toolkit.  Ask your Line Manager if you need access to a computer.
