Town House relocation affecting staff in Council Headquarters
In December 2022, staff were given information about the Asset Management Plan and the Council’s decision to reduce property costs by vacating some of the Council’s buildings. The plan is based on improving our remaining office estate to better support hybrid and flexible working practices and increase collaboration between teams. It also helps address the Council’s carbon neutral commitments.
This includes the decision to rationalise several offices in Inverness.
The properties identified are:
-
Inverness Town House
-
Dochfour Huts
-
Office at 4 Castle Wynd
-
HQ Old Building (Ardross Street)
What’s happening and when
Due to the timescale and as part of the implementation of hybrid and agile working, the project team want to engage and consult with staff through this process.
Most staff from the offices above will be moving into HQ. As a result, your team may be directly or indirectly affected by these changes.
The first of these moves will see Town House staff moving into HQ by April 2023.
If your team is affected by this move, you will be directly contacted by an Asset Management Project Team member within the next 2 to 3 weeks.
In the meantime, we would reiterate our previous requests for you to start de-personalising your desk, declutter your offices and think about storage.
Further information
Further information about these changes will be emailed to HQ staff shortly.
