Highland Council Mentoring Scheme
People Development are pleased to introduce the upcoming Highland Council Mentoring Scheme. We are seeking expressions of interest for participation from staff and managers as either a mentor or a mentee, and we invite you to be part of this enriching experience.
The Highland Council Mentoring Scheme is open to all our staff and managers, across all service areas and positions. It has been designed to encourage and nurture a culture of shared continuous learning and development across the Council.
We are offering two programmes starting this September. One is the open programme for all staff and managers.
We are also delighted to show our commitment to ESAW (Equally Safe at Work) and are offering a mentoring scheme tailored specifically to support women. The initial programme is being offered to women working in clerical/administrative roles (HC2 – HC4).
Benefits of Participation
- Mentors will have the opportunity to hone their leadership skills, cultivate meaningful professional relationships, and directly contribute to the development of their colleagues.
- Learn a new skill – training will be provided to all mentors
- Mentees will gain valuable insights, skills, and perspectives from experienced professionals, fostering both personal and professional growth.
Please email People Development to express your interest
We are actively seeking expressions of interest for mentor and mentee roles in both schemes. If you're interested in professional growth and skill enhancement, we warmly invite you to register your interest.
Please email People Development with any questions and to register your interest at People.Development@highland.gov.uk by the 31st of July. Please specify if you are interested in being a mentor or mentee.
