Enrol your child for school

If your child will be five years old on or before 28 February 2025, they are eligible to enrol for Primary 1 in the 2024 to 2025 session.

If you wish to enrol your child for Primary 1, please do so during enrolment week.

Enrolment week for Primary 1 pupils was from Monday 29 January to Friday 2 February 2024.

Enrol Your Child

Parents with no access to the online process can request a paper copy of the enrolment form from their catchment school during enrolment week.

Gaelic Medium Education

Highland Council are committed to providing equal respect for English and Gaelic, on the basis that they both have an essential part to play in Highland life. It is for this reason that you are asked to consider whether you wish to complete enrolment for English Medium or Gaelic Medium Education.

Early Learning and Childcare

Children born between 1 March 2020 and 28 February 2022 are entitled to a funded Early Learning and Childcare place.

For Early Learning and Childcare places, enrolment week commences Monday 12 February and concludes on Friday 16 February 2024.
