With regard to the application by Filmbrook Limited and Mrs Valerie Mackenzie, Mr Stephen Copinger appeared on behalf of the applicant and moved that the application for regular extension until 2 am on Saturday mornings, and 1.30 am on Sunday mornings be granted in order that the premises could serve refreshments while showing late night films.The Board noted that a letter of representation from the Police had been received, and that this had been validly served on the applicants.
Mr Copinger presented a petition showing 650 signatures and described some alterations which had been carried out to the premises. Inspector Reiss referred to the letter of objection. The Board noted that the application is outwith policy, and noted the Clerk's advice on the statutory position. The Board agreed to grant the application for the hours as applied for, with the exception of Friday evenings when the extension would finish at 1.30am and Saturday evenings when the extension would finish at 1am.
