A meeting of the Chief Officers’ Group will take place in the Small Hall, Smithton Church, Murray Road, Smithton, Inverness, IV2 7YU on Friday 11 November 2016 at 3.00 pm.

Business

1. Apologies for Absence

2. Chief Officers’ Group – Note of Meeting

There is circulated for approval Note of Meeting of the Chief Officers’ Group held on 11 August 2016.

3. Community Planning Board – Minutes of Meeting

There are circulated for comment draft Minutes of the Community Planning Board held on 7 October 2016 together with, for reference, the Action Note previously circulated by email.

4. Re-designing for Community Action

The Group is asked to reflect on the learning from the day, opportunities and potential next steps.

5. Development of the Local Outcomes Improvement Plan

There will be an update on progress from the sub-group tasked to take forward the development of the Local Outcomes Improvement Plan.

6. City Region Deal Update

The Programme Manager will give a verbal update on the City Region Deal.

7. New arrangements for CPP Chief Officers’ Group and Board

Given the new duties contained in Part 2 of the Community Empowerment Act, the Group is asked to consider the membership of the Chief Officers’ Group and Board going forward.

8. Community Partnership Toolkit

There will follow a short paper providing an update on taking forward a toolkit for Community Partnerships.

9. Future Agenda Items – Community Planning Board

Agenda items proposed for the Community Planning Board on 16 December 2016 are listed below:-

  • Breakthrough Achievement Update
  • Active Highland Strategy – Update
  • Quarterly Progress Reports (Q2 2016/17) for all CPP themes

10. Future Agenda Items – Chief Officers’ Group

Agenda items proposed for future meetings of the Chief Officers’ Group are listed below:-

  • Presentation: Modern Apprenticeship Levy
  • Potential impacts of the vote to leave the European Union and any contingency plans partners may have in response
  • Improving access for older people to reduce isolation, promote inclusion and maintain good health and wellbeing (transport as part of the solution, report from Older People’s Improvement Group and consider HITRANS as a member of the CPP)

11. Future Meeting Dates

Meeting dates for 2017 will be arranged in early course and electronic invitations issued.
