A meeting of the North Planning Applications Committee will take place in the Council Chamber, Council Headquarters, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness on Tuesday, 17 October 2017 at 10.30 am.

You are invited to attend and a note of the business to be considered is attached.

Members are reminded that during determination of any item before this Committee they must be present throughout the whole of that item in order to be entitled to participate.

There is circulated Report No PLN/058/17 by the Head of Planning and Building Standards, which provides an update on progress of all cases within the ‘Major’ development category currently with the Planning and Development Service for determination and identifies those proposed applications which have Proposal of Application Notice (PAN). The report also details progress on proposals submitted under S36 or S37 of the Electricity Act 1989 on which the Council is consulted.

The Committee is invited to note the current position with these applications.

Nature of Development: Erection of 40 bedroom care home.
Recommendation: Refuse.

Nature of Development: Change of use of land to domestic curtilage, erection of two garages and a garden shed (retrospective)

The Committee is invited to note that the appeal to the Scottish Government’s Planning and Environmental Appeals Division has been allowed for the change of use to domestic curtilage, the erection of the southernmost garage and garden shed and planning permission granted subject to the conditions detailed in the decision notice and that the appeal for the erection of the northernmost garage has been dismissed for the reasons stated in the decision notice.
