Members are asked to consider whether they have an interest to declare in relation to any item on the agenda for this meeting.  Any Member making a declaration of interest should indicate whether it is a financial or non-financial interest and include some information on the nature of the interest.  Advice may be sought from officers prior to the meeting taking place.

3. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Local Committee Performance Report/ Aithisg Dèanadais Comataidh Ionadail Seirbheis Smàlaidh agus Teasairginn na h-Alba

There is circulated Report No LA/6/18 by the Local Senior Officer for Highland.

The Committee is invited to comment and scrutinise the Area Performance Report.

4. Lochaber Local Priorities/ Prìomhachasan Loch Abar

There is circulated Report No LA/7/18 by the Head of Policy and Reform. 

The Committee is invited to review the actions and timescales proposed and to suggest any further amendment or activity considered appropriate to achieve the local priorities. 

5. Housing Performance Report/ Aithisg Dèanadais Taigheadais

There is circulated Report No LA/8/18 by the Director of Community Services.

Members are invited to consider the information provided on housing performance for the period 1 April 2017 to 31 December, 2017.

6. Maintenance of Council Housing Estate/ Cumail Suas Oighreachd Taigheadais na Comhairle

There is circulated Report No. LA/9/18 by the Director of Community Services.

Members are asked to:

i  approve the Rate your Estate toolkit being rolled out across Council housing estates in Lochaber.

ii agree further discussion with Lochaber Members to decide a timetable detailing priority estates.

7. Car Parking in Lochaber/  Parcadh Chàraichean ann an Loch Abar

There is circulated Report No. LA/10/18 by the Director of Community Services.

Members are asked to note the proposed changes to parking services in Lochaber.

8. Street Naming/ Ainmeachadh Sràide

There is circulated Report No. LA/11/18 by the Head of Policy and Reform.

The Committee is asked to homologate the naming of two new streets as follows; Commercial site in Camaghael as Old Baling Plant and residential development on the former Roman Catholic School site, Lochyside, Caol as Old School Court.  

9. West Highland and Islands Local Development Plan/ Plana Leasachaidh Ionadail na Gàidhealtachd an Iar agus nan Eilean

There is circulated Report No. LA/12/18 by the Director of Development and Infrastructure.

The Committee is asked to:-

i    note the issues raised in representations received on the Proposed Plan as they relate to the Lochaber Committee area and agree the recommended Council response to these issues as set out in Appendix 1;

ii   authorise officers to undertake the statutory procedures required to progress the Plan to Examination including the submission of Appendix 1 to Scottish Ministers;

iii  authorise the Director of Development and Infrastructure, in consultation with the Chairs of the Local Committees, to make non-material changes to Appendix 1 prior to its submission to the Scottish Government; 

iv  agree the work carried out on the emerging Fort William 2040 vision enclosed at Appendix 2; and

v  agree that consultation on the Fort William 2040 vision at Appendix 2 takes place with the outcomes being brought back to this Committee for final approval.
