Agenda Item 7

Memberships of Committees, etc/ Appointment of Vice Chair of Audit and Scrutiny Committee
Ballarachd Chomataidhean, msaa/Cur Iar-Chathraiche an Dreuchd do Chomataidh an Sgrùdaidh

The Council is invited to appoint a Vice Chair of the Audit and Scrutiny Committee.

The Council is also asked to agree the following revision to the Scheme of Delegation:

Appendix I 

City of Inverness Area Committee
Economy and Infrastructure

Delete existing paragraph 2.39 and replace with 

Excepting the powers reserved to The Highland Council under Part I and delegated to the Economy and Infrastructure Committee under Part II, to approve planning policy and guidance but only in so far as that policy or guidance is place-specific in content or application.  In this context, place-specific is defined as policy or guidance affecting only the City of Inverness Area or a community within that area.
