Members are asked to consider whether they have an interest to declare in relation to any item on the agenda for this meeting.  Any Member making a declaration of interest should provide some information on the nature of the interest and leave the meeting at the appropriate time.  Advice may be sought from officers prior to the meeting taking place.

3. Presentation – Highlands and Islands Climate Hub
Taisbeanadh – Hub Gnàth-shìde na Gàidhealtachd is nan Eilean

Joan Lawrie, Highlands and Islands Climate Hub, will present a film, “Climate Action: Highlands and Islands”.

4. Net Zero Strategy – Action Plan and Supporting Workstreams Progress Report

There is circulated Report No CCC/1/24 by the Interim Depute Chief Executive.

The Committee is invited to:-

i.   agree a revised approach to the development of the Net Zero Action Plan will be brought to the Committee in May for consideration;
ii.  note a workshop is scheduled in April 2024 to provide Members with the opportunity to provide input to the development of the Climate Change Impact Assessment;
iii. note a bespoke Climate Training workshop will be delivered to the Council’s Corporate Management Team in March/April 2024 prior to wider roll out; and
iv.  consider the updates provided for all of the Net Zero Strategy Workstreams set out in the appendices.

5. The Council Response to Social Housing Net Zero Standard: Consultation

The Committee is invited to homologate the response to the Social Housing Net Zero Standard: Consultation attached at Appendix 1 of the report.

6. The Council Response to Heat in Buildings Bill: Consultation
