The Committee is asked to note that the recess powers granted by the Council at its meeting on 27 June 2024 did not require to be exercised in relation to the business of the Isle of Skye and Raasay Committee.

There was circulated Report No SR/12/24 by the Local Senior Officer for Highland.
 
The Committee is invited to comment and scrutinise the Area Performance Report.
 
7. SkyeConnect Presentation
    Taisbeanadh SkyeConnect
 
Simon Cousins, Director, SkyeConnect will be in attendance to give a presentation in relation to projects that SkyeConnect deliver in the community.
 
8. Skye and Raasay Future - Presentation

Jo-Anne Ford, Chief Officer, Skye and Lochalsh Council for Voluntary Organisations will be in attendance.
 
9. Roads Maintenance Update

Members are asked to note the roads maintenance update contained in the report.
 
10. Winter Service Plan for 2024/25

Members are asked to approve the Winter Service Plan for 2024/25.
 
 
11. Bereavement Services Project updates

There is circulated Report No. SR/15/24 by the Assistant Chief Executive – Place. 
 
Members are asked to note:-
 
i.  the progress of burial ground extensions in the Skye and Raasay area.
ii. the challenges with identifying and developing suitable land for burial ground development.
 
12. The Storr – Update Report 24/25

There is circulated Report No. SR/16/24 by the Assistant Chief Executive – Corporate. 
 
Members are asked to:
 
i.  note the ongoing local Member involvement and established governance through an Officer-led cross-Service Project Board; 
ii. note the ongoing partnership working including with NatureScot, SkyeConnect, and the local community, including suppliers;
iii.note the significant achievements being delivered by the Project and the continued progress being made; and
iv. note that regular reports will continue to be taken to the Isle of Skye and Raasay Area Committee.
