Wick Campus move-in arrangements.
Highland Council has confirmed move-in arrangements for the new Wick Campus.
The Wick Stakeholder Group met last night (Tuesday 28 February) and had a tour of the new Wick Campus facility which encompasses Wick High School, Newton Park Primary School, and sports and community facilities to be operated by High Life Highland.
At the walk round the Council confirmed move-in arrangements over the Easter holiday period. Schools will have additional closure days on Wednesday 5th April, prior to the scheduled Easter Holidays, and also two additional closure days after the holidays, on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th April. These additional days to provide school staff with time to pack up and get setup in the new Campus. All facilities are to be operational on Wednesday 26th April.
Cllr Neil MacDonald and Cllr Willie Mackay, Stakeholder Group Chair attended the Campus tour, and were delighted with the fantastic facilities and positive feedback received from stakeholders at the walk around the facility.
Cllr Mackay said: “It is excellent news that the Council can now positively state the intended opening date of the new facilities and I know that pupils, staff and the local community can’t wait to get in following the Easter Holidays.”
