Workshop to create homes for wildlife
On Saturday 27 May the Highland Council Rangers will be hosting a special workshop in Inverness Botanics promoting what people can do to encourage and help wildlife in gardens and local green spaces.
Anyone coming along will be able to make their own mini-beast shelter or bird feeder to take home. The session, which is open to adults and children, will run from 2pm to 4pm.
Ranger John Orr said: “This will be a practical, hands-on, family friendly session where you can try making minibeast shelters and bird feeders for your garden. We will be giving out lots of advice and information on how to make your gardens a better place for wildlife to thrive.”
The price for this event is £4.50 for adults, £3.50 for concessions and £15 for a family.
Booking is not essential for this event, you can just turn up at the Botanical Gardens but please phone 01463 255291 if you would like more information.
The aim of the Highland Council Countryside Rangers is to promote public enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside and to conserve wildlife.
