Flags to fly at half mast over Council buildings
The Highland Council will be flying flags on council buildings at half mast in a mark of respect for the terrorist attack at Manchester Arena.
Convener of the Council, Councillor Bill Lobban expressed his sympathy for all those involved on behalf of The Highland Council.
He said: “Our hearts go out to all those caught up in this dreadful incident.
“This appears to have been an attack on young innocent people, enjoying themselves and who had their whole lives ahead of them. The Highland Council joins with our partners in solidarity against such a despicable act of terrorism. We will be flying our flags at half mast as a mark of our respect and our sympathy for all those involved.”
