Motorists Warned of Delays at Nairn
Motorists are being warned of a disruption to traffic in King Street, Nairn, as the result of essential works which commence at 8 am on Tuesday 10 April in connection with the construction of the new Nairn Community Centre.
The works entail excavation of a new trench from the existing boundary wall, fronting King Street (A96), adjacent to Nairn Police Station to the end of Courthouse Lane (opposite side).
It is anticipated the works will be completed by 5 p.m. on Saturday 14th April.
Temporary traffic lights will be placed between the Bus Station (east of Leopold Street junction) and Gordon Street to control construction activities. This will restrict traffic to one-way movement.
Works will be undertaken in two phases. Firstly, excavation/reinstatement to south side of King Street (Courthouse Lane) and then excavation/reinstatement to the north side (Police Station). Each phase will be controlled by portable traffic signals.
