Chair appointed to Nairnshire Committee

Councillor Tom Heggie was elected as the Chair of the Nairnshire Committee at its meeting on Friday 23 June.  Councillor Laurie Fraser was elected as Provost of Nairn.

Councillor Heggie said: “I would like to reiterate my thanks for the trust placed in me by colleagues.

“There is a need to address a number of issues in the area and I hope we can work together as a committee for the benefit of our community.”

Nairn and Cawdor is a four-member ward (Ward 18). The Nairnshire Committee members are Councillors Tom Heggie, Laurie Fraser, Liz MacDonald and Peter Saggers.
