Flags at half-mast

Flags at The Highland Council buildings have been lowered to half-mast today to mark the tragic events in Spain over the past 24 hours.

Convener of the Highland Council, Bill Lobban said: “It is heart-breaking to hear of the loss of life, the terrible injuries and horrific experiences suffered by people from all over the world, in Spain. Our thoughts and sympathies are with all those involved. There is no room for an ideology of terrorism in our world and everyone must condemn these despicable and indiscriminate attacks.”
