Installation of bus shelter outside Marks and Spencers, Inverness
Issued on behalf of HITRANS
Highlands and Islands Transport Partnership (HITRANS) have made arrangements for the installation of a new bus shelter at the bus stop outside Marks and Spencers on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 August.
Stagecoach Services No. 2, 3, 4 and 8 will not operate from this stop; and passengers should board services from the nearest stop which is Academy Street, outside PentaHotel.
HITRANS have agreed with Highland Council and bus operators that to enable the installation there will be a temporary closure of the bus stop and adjacent footpath while the work is being undertaken and passengers are directed to the nearest alternative bus stop which will be outside the Penta Hotel on Academy Street.
HITRANS will be erecting a temporary bus stop in the underpass of Eastgate so that inbound services on Millburn Road will be able to set down passengers at this point. Information signs will be erected at the bus stop to inform passengers of the changes.
The work is due to begin around lunchtime on Monday 28 and planned for completion on Tuesday 29 Aug.
