Convenor pays tribute to Deputy Chief Executive
On behalf of the Highland Council Convenor Cllr Bill Lobban congratulates Michelle Morris and wishes her well in her new job.
At the start of today’s Highland Council meeting Convenor Cllr Bill Lobban paid tribute to Deputy Chief Executive Michelle Morris and wished her well in her new role as Managing Director of Blaenau Gwent council in Wales.
He said: “We will really miss her. Blaenau Gwent council’s gain is our loss.”
The Leader Councillor Margaret Davidson thanked Michelle for her dedicated service over the past 10 years. She said: “Michelle’s advice has always been very much valued and appreciated. She has been a real role model for women and an inspiration for all of us.”
Thanking Councillors and colleagues for their best wishes and kind words Michelle Morris said: “It has been a real privilege to work for Highland Council over the last 10 years. This has been absolutely great place to work and live and I will take with me great regard for the Highlands. I would like to thank Members and Officers for all for the support they have given me over those years and wish the Highland Council all the very best for the future.”
