Halloween portal to underworld in Inverness
This weekend will see Ness Islands in Inverness transform into a portal to a Halloween underworld for family fun and entertainment.
Admission is free on Saturday 28 October from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and on Sunday 29 October from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
“The annual Halloween event - which is very popular with families - is part of the Inverness Festivals Winter Programme of Events which is supported by the Inverness Common Good Fund” explained Provost and Leader of Inverness Area Cllr Helen Carmichael.
Gerry Reynolds, Inverness Events Manager said: “Only the bravest souls will have a chance of making it through to the other side of the Ness Islands. Be prepared to meet Egyptian Gods Anubis and Thoth; Medieval Plague Doctors; roaming Polynesian animal spirts and Harpies; Yomi the Japanese Goddess of the underworld and whatever you do – don’t pay ferryman!”
Dress up or dress down, but dress warmly.
People attending the Inverness Ness Islands Halloween Show are encouraged to use city centre car parks and walk to the event including:
- Rose Street multi storey (856 spaces)
- Retail Park (Rose Street) (250 spaces)
- Eastgate Centre multi storey (1356 spaces)
