Second Dingwall and Seaforth Ward Forum

The second forum for the Dingwall and Seaforth Ward of The Highland Council will take place at the Council Offices, Dingwall at 7.30pm on Tuesday 7 August.

The ward forum provides an opportunity for community representatives and the public to raise local issues, scrutinise local council delivery and performance and help make choices about local service delivery, where appropriate.  Each meeting has a particular theme and partners will be invited to join the meeting where required.  The focus of the second forum will be transport.

The National Standards for Community Engagement were adopted at the first forum and public consultation will be a standing item on the agenda.

The four councillors who serve Dingwall and Seaforth, Councillors Peter Cairns, David Chisholm, Angela MacLean and Margaret Paterson, will be present as well as representatives from community councils and the police. It is also hoped that young people will get involved.

The meeting will be held in public and there will be a 20 minute session at the close of the meeting for the public to ask questions.  People with specific needs who wish to attend the Ward Forums should contact Liz Cowie, Ward Manager, in advance to advise of any requirements.  Further information on the forthcoming ward forum can also be found on The Highland Council website http://www.www.highland.gov.uk/ from the home page via ‘your Council Ward’.
