Rangers get active at Woodland Festival

Highland Council’s Countryside Rangers have organised an activities tent at the Anagach Woods annual woodland festival held in Grantown-on-Spey.
 
Participants at the festival can visit the tent which where the Council’s Rangers are hosting a range of activities including crafts, identification trails, a woodland challenge and many more things to do and make.

The Woodland Festival takes place on Wednesday 8th August between 10am and 4pm and has many attractions with chainsaw creations, wood turning, wood sculptures, a woodland orchestra and refreshments and a raffle.

Held on General Wade’s Road by the Forest Road entrance to Anagach woods this event will prove to be a highlight of the year.
 
Countryside Ranger Saranne Bish said: “Come along and see how good you are at either arts and crafts or at your woodland skills. It will be an excellent day with loads of fun and things to do and see.”
