First Ward Forum for Black Isle

The first Ward Forum for The Highland Council electoral ward of Black Isle will take place at Culbokie Primary School on Thursday 30 August 2007 from 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm.

The meeting will be held in public and there will be a 20 minute session at the close of the meeting for the public to ask questions.

The aim of the forum is to provide an effective scrutiny of the way the Council provides services in the Black Isle Ward.  The first meeting will feature a discussion on public transport issues and set agenda items for future meetings, dates and venues.

The meeting will be attended by the four councillors who serve the Black Isle  – Councillors Isobel McCallum, Billy Barclay, Craig Fraser and David Alston –  as well as representatives from community councils, the police and NHS.

Providing support to the forum will be Diane Agnew, Ward Manager for the Black Isle.

There will be six meetings of the Ward Forum each year.  The Forums planned to end of the year are 25 October 2007 and 13 December 2007.
