20th Anniversary of Telford Centre, Fort Augustus

The Telford Centre Community Care Centre, Abertarff Place, Fort Augustus, celebrates its 20th anniversary on Saturday (11 August) with a fund-raising garden fete at the centre.

Held from 12.30 to 3pm, the fete will feature music from Tin Pan Alley, a traditional jazz band, and include BBQ, bouncy castle, sales tables, raffle, cream teas and bric-a-brac.

Councillor Margaret Davidson, Chairman of the Housing and Social Work Committee, will say a few words to open the event, and all are welcome to this day of fun and entertainment.
 
The Telford Centre is an important local resource for older people in the area, providing a base to support people in their own homes, with day care, respite and residential services for those who can no longer remain at home.
 
In the last two years, similar events have helped raise over £2,500 for the Centre’s amenity fund for the benefit of residents and people who use the centre.
