Lochaber pupils showcase digital project at national technology event

photoLast week pupils from Kinlochleven Primary School travelled to London to showcase the work they have been doing with digital technology including their achievements using new Chromebooks.

The Primary 7 pupils, Kaci Sillars, Emily Duffy and Daisy McGarry, gave a presentation to a large audience at the BETT technology show made up of educators from all over the UK and beyond.

Head Teacher Heather Thomson said: “We were delighted to be invited to BETT to discuss the evolution of a digital learning culture in our school using G Suite for Education amongst other digital technologies.

“I was so proud of our three Primary 7 pupils, who spoke confidently and articulately in front of a wide audience. What a wonderful experience it was for us all!

“Next steps for us include celebrating Safer Internet Day on 6 February, submitting a bid to speak at the Scottish Learning Festival in September and applying to become a Google Reference School!”
