Extra time for Merkinch applications
In light of the growing interest in the Building a Stronger Merkinch Participatory Budgeting event we are pleased to announce the deadline has been extended.
The extended deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 28 February!
If you have an idea that will improve the Merkinch Community Council Area and need £200 to £2,500 to put it into action, then Building a Stronger Merkinch is the opportunity to get the funding you need. Groups in the Merkinch Community Council area are urged to come forward with ideas and projects they wish to see funded.
In total £20,000 is available for grants up to £2,500! Any local community, voluntary or non-profit group can apply; projects can be large or small and the only criteria are that projects be based in the Merkinch Community Council area and will be of benefit to residents.
The community will get to vote for the best ideas at an event to be held on Saturday 24th March 2018 in the Merkinch Community Centre. The event is open to all, and individuals who would like to help decide are invited to come along and vote for their favourite projects. Those in attendance vote on all the applications and decisions are made on the day.
