Closure of B9176 Struie Road at Newbridge, Ardross

The B9176 Struie Road at Newbridge, Ardross remains closed to all traffic while work continues to clear fallen debris and stabilise the slope. 

Initial works underway this week include removal of all the fallen debris, cleaning the road and making preparations for installing concrete barriers on the northbound land to catch any further debris that falls. 

The road is expected to remain closed for at least a further week to allow a contractor to transport and position these large concrete blocks. Once the blocks are in place temporary traffic lights will be set up to allow the road to open to single lane traffic before longer term measures to allow the road to fully open are taken. 

In the meantime Council staff are inspecting the site daily and taking any necessary action. A diversion is in place via Alness.
